Are You Our Next Aussie Hoops Coordinator?

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Aussie Hoops Coordinator to ensure our program continues to thrive in Term 2, 2025, and beyond. If you love basketball, enjoy working with kids, and have a knack for bringing great coaches on board, this volunteer role could be perfect for you!

Aussie Hoops is an introductory basketball program designed to teach kids the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment. Each session focuses on skill-building, teamwork, and sportsmanship while keeping the kids active and engaged.

As Aussie Hoops Coordinator, you'll play a key role in organizing, promoting, and running the program—as well as identifying and recruiting enthusiastic coaches to deliver great sessions each term.

What’s Involved?

⏳ Time Commitment: Approx. 2-4 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

🏀 Coordinate and oversee the Aussie Hoops program each term

🏀 Promote the program, manage registrations, and communicate with families🏀 Identify, recruit, and support coaches in planning and delivering fun training sessions

🏀 Ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants

Who We’re Looking For:

✅ A passion for basketball and working with kids

✅ Strong communication and leadership skills

✅ Basic admin and organizational skills

✅ Ability to foster a positive learning experience

✅ Confidence in engaging and supporting new coaches
